I saw this yesterday, it was thought provoking for me on this fourth of july weekend. The fourth is about independence, fighting and dying for a way of life. It stirred memories of my father and all the others who have sacrificed in uniform. Feelings of sorrow for those lost, paying the ultimate price for their sacrifice; feelings of relief and thanks for those able to return home. Regardless of where one may stand on war and politics; appreciation for those in harm’s way is appropriate.
Seeing this car in front of us, I couldn’t help but think: I do not know you but, I thank you. Welcome home, I am glad you returned safely.
